Matt Gibson

Combine the dark menace of latter day massive attack with the electronic ambience of IDM and the spaced out prog rock experimentation of pink floyd and you might get some idea of what sounds this artist is progressively achieving.

Matthew Gibson is a 23 year old producer of electronic dance music, who hails from Hampshire in England.

He has recently finished an HND in music production and is now pursuing a career in Composition/Song-writing.

From an early age Matt has taken an interest in music and by the age of 11 he had started taking keyboard lessons.

In his final years at secondary school Matt got heavily into grunge and 70's Rock music and it is around this time he purchased his first guitar. Then at the age of only 14, he was surprised to win a regional Young Composers Competition which offered a reward of 1000 towards musical equipment. Spurred on by this success, Matt then purchased a brand new keyboard, which enabled him to create new sounds.

After leaving school Matt decided to study music at college. Whilst at college Matt discovered an interest in dance music through listening to artists such as Massive Attack and Aphex Twin. This led to him experimenting with synths and samplers.
