Shinra
Shinra makes electronica, breakcore, and twisted drum and bass. The main intention behind his music is that it is complex and interesting at all times, while remaining suitable for the dancefloor.
Shinra (real name: James Clarke) is a 20-year-old electronic music producer. His main musical mission is to create a fusion of electronica and IDM (such as that made by artists on the Warp, Rephlex and Planet Mu labels) with hard acid jungle and drum 'n' bass, and any other style of dance music. This range of influences means that Shinra's music spans several genres, such as the pumping electro/tech house of 'Elektro', the manic acid jungle of 'Amen Madness', the glitchy tech-step of 'Bazoo', the full-on 200bpm breakcore of 'Breakcore Mix' and the mashed-up rave/tech drum 'n' bass of 'Dnbtec v2'. Shinra recently played his first live gig, at the respected Bangface night in London, in a line-up that included Cylob and Bong-Ra, two of his heroes.
